Mmmm….truffles….

Mmmm….truffles….

Come and join us on the evening of Saturday 19th May to make some delicious truffles and take them home in a lovely box (or indeed eat them before you get home!).

It’ll be £5 on the door (for ingredients) with the opportunity to have a good natter while trying your hand at some easy to make treats.  Recipes will be available after the event too if you want to try them again at home.

We’d like to know rough numbers to ensure we buy enough ingredients, so please comment here if you’re planning to come or we’ll be around at various RBC events with sign-up sheets.

We hope to see you there, it’s going to be a really fun night.

Film night – Thurs 22nd March

Film night – Thurs 22nd March

Following on from our successful Recipe Night, we’re having a Just For Ladies film night on Thursday 22nd March.

  • Doors open at 7:30pm with the film starting at 8pm.  So time for a quick natter and catch-up before the film starts!
  • Cost will be £3 each (to include sweets and popcorn)

We’re watching Julie & Julia!  The film lasts 2hrs so we won’t be finished until about 10pm.

Fabulous night….!

Fabulous night….!

Well… we had an amazing first Just For Ladies event last night and I think we can say it was a roaring success. Lots of delicious food to eat and plenty to take home too. I certainly picked up plenty of new recipes to try out. I hope everyone enjoyed a relaxing night with some wonderful entertainment from Glesni and Osa.

Get our next event in your diaries now… a film night (with refreshments & nibbles) on Thursday 22nd March. The film will be confirmed nearer the time, keep an eye on the website or watch out for more info displayed in Church.

Recipes at the ready…!

Recipes at the ready…!

Not long now until our first Just for Ladies event (next Saturday 4th Feb @ 8pm).  My contribution will be shortbread, having just tested my double quantities on my work colleagues… to good reviews (phew!).

We’re hoping to have the use of a hostess trolley so we can keep hot items warm.  Please post a message or contact Ginger/Sarah/Esther or myself if you’d like to use this so we know to get it heated up.

The planning team are really excited and we can’t wait to taste all the delicious nibbles and get some great new recipe ideas.  Please remember to write out a copy of your recipe and bring it along too.

2 weeks to go…

2 weeks to go…

Well, thinking caps are on for a recipe to bake and bring along to the Recipe Swap night… to be fair, I’m not the world’s best cook but I can make a few decent desserts!! Hmm… I can see the diet going out the window this week while I ‘test’ my various biscuit & cake baking options :)

If you know what you’re bringing, please do post it on the website so we can get excited about the range of delicious items we’ll have to nibble.

Recipe swap (4th Feb)…

Recipe swap (4th Feb)…

A big thank you for all the lovely comments about our flyers and for all the RBC ladies who took one on their way out on Sunday morning.

The recipe swap night is just a few short weeks away and we can’t wait to taste all your delicious creations. Feel free to post on this website what you’re bringing along if you’d like to. Now… if anyone out there has a sponge recipe for 10″ sandwich tins, I’d personally be very interested :)

The night will start at 8pm and as well as trying each other’s food, we’ll have some quizzes and other things as well. It’ll be a great night for chatting and getting to know each other better.
